The Best Vitamins for Glowing Skin!

Those of you who have been following my blog from the beginning know that one of the reasons I started this blog was because I wanted to share my skin and health & wellness journey. I’ve been dealing with a few breakouts here and there for almost a year now. What I’ve learned along the way is that your skin is a reflection of your inner health. It tells you so much about your hydration, stress levels, how much sleep you get, digestion, and so much more.

For a radiant, beautiful, timeless, glowing complexion, it’s is vital that you nourish yourself from within. Your skin needs a vast supply of antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, healthy fats, and probiotics. If your diet lacks those, or you have poor digestion, your skin, and even your nails, will definitely show it. If you have stubborn skin, it is trying to tell you something! Pay attention! Do your best to cut out items such as excess sugar, processed foods, and alcohol (don’t worry, an occasional glass of wine is okay). Fuel your body with beauty-boosting foods like I said before… antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, healthy fats, and probiotics. They are essential for cellular repair and rejuvenation. Skin health begins below the surface.

First, I’m going to briefly talk about antioxidants…

Daily, our skin is exposed to UV radiation, pollution, toxins, etc. These cause free radicals, and free radicals cause inflammation, a breakdown of collagen aka wrinkles, and speeds up aging. Antioxidants eliminate those free radicals and prevent further damage to your skin. Berries, tomatoes, pumpkin seeds, sweet potatoes, kale, broccoli, grapes, and wild caught salmon are a few examples of foods high in antioxidants. Take the time to do your own research and find foods you like that have high amounts. I’m always always always researching, which is how I’m able to share all these health gems with you. Remember, taking vitamins aren’t necessary if you eat vitamin and mineral rich foods daily. These are natural sources of all the vitamins I’ll be listing. Also, if you’d like to purchase them, and I believe that you should, there are links provided for each.
