A Morning Açaí Smoothie.

I love making smoothies at any time of day, as you guys all know. Like I’ve mentioned before it is one of the easiest ways to squeeze in a vitamin/mineral packed “meal” into your day. This morning I made a delicious açaí smoothie to start my day off right.

img_1286Açaí berries contain antioxidants, fiber, and heart-healthy fats. It is one of the healthiest berries! It is a healing, immune-stimulating, energy-boosting fruit.

Beet root supports blood, heart, and liver health. It also contains immune-boosting antioxidants that help the body get rid of free radicals, which are harmful to your body. 

Other ingredients!

  • Chia seeds: excellent source of omega-3, antioxidants, fiber, iron and calcium.
  • Coconut water: packed with antioxidants, amino acids, B-complex vitamins, vitamin C, iron, calcium, and potassium. It’s also packed with electrolytes so its a great hydrator for your body.
  • Frozen fruit: strawberries, mangos, and papaya, 1/3 banana.

Blend all the ingredients above in a blender (I have a nutri ninja pro blender) and drink up! It does your body so so good. This blend is also great as a smoothie bowl. Just add your favorite fruits, nuts, and seeds on top!
