Did someone say… “chocolate?!”

This “chocolate” mask is one of my faveeee DIY fresh face masks. Your skin will be clean, clear, and moisturized; and if you happen to lick it off your lips you’ll find that it also tastes super good (yes, it’s edible). For this mask all you need is 4 inexpensive ingredients… cacao powder, honey, cinnamon, and an avocado.

First, I mashed the avocado, this is the base of the mask. For it to apply creamy and super smooth, use a hand mixer. Now all you need to do is add 1 tsp of cinnamon, 2 tbsp of honey, and 2 tbsp of the cacao powder. Mix it all up and apply it to a cleansed face (I️ apply all my fresh face masks with a small soft bristled paint brush that I️ bought from Michaels). I leave it on for 10-15 minutes, and then remove it with a warm face towel.

In an earlier post, Something sweet , I shared with you guys the benefits cinnamon and honey have for the skin. So now let me tell y’all about cacao and avocado.

Cacao is LOADED with antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals. It protects the skin form harmful UV rays, so yes this acts as a natural sunscreeeeen. It also increases blood flow to the skin, so you know what that means, a glow lol. I’m pretty sure by now that y’all figured out that I love to look lively and vibrant. Last but not lease, it provides hydration to the skin, which is a must during winter.

Avocados are rich in healthy fatty acids, vitamins and antioxidants that improve your skin; this not only can be done on the outside, but can be on the inside as well. All you literally have to do is eat an avocado regularly and watch it do wonders for your complexion. But if you can’t fathom the thought of just eating an avocado by itself, which I couldn’t do for a while but learned to suck it up, this mask will do.
